Brazil Pay a High Price to Bring in Carlo Ancelotti;

It was almost certain well in advance, yet there were still some doubts surrounding the Copa del Rey final.

After losing that match, it’s now confirmed—Carlo Ancelotti will be leaving Real Madrid at the end of this season. The Italian mastermind has already informed the club’s players about his decision.

But he’s not moving to another club. This time, he’s taking on the monumental responsibility of managing a national team.

Brazil left no stone unturned to bring the experienced Ancelotti on board. Multiple rounds of discussions were held with him.

Even Neymar Jr. and other players made positive comments about him. The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) met with him several times.

And eventually, that led to the green light. According to Fabrizio Romano, a verbal agreement has already been reached between the two parties. The official announcement will come at the end of the season. Until then, Brazil will work on finalizing all necessary documents.

It wasn’t just about approaching him repeatedly—Brazil’s determination to sign Ancelotti is also reflected in his salary.

The Brazil team will pay Ancelotti $900,000 per month, which is about 108 million Bangladeshi Taka. Annually, that amounts to nearly 1.3 billion Taka.

An interesting fact: no national team coach earns as much or more than Ancelotti. In other words, CBF is bringing him in with a record salary.

Ancelotti is expected to start his role in May. He will personally announce the squad for June’s World Cup qualifiers.

It’s believed that the team will be selected from the preliminary list left behind by Dorival. Ancelotti wants to join the team in May. If that’s not possible, he’ll take charge from the dugout in June.

Ancelotti’s coaching career is older than many of the players in the Brazil squad—and it’s been quite a successful one.

After all, he won the Champions League in 2002, and again in 2024. He’s shown he can adapt with time. So it’s no surprise Brazil gave it their all to get him.

Their financial offer says it all. Now, let’s see how much Ancelotti can deliver on Brazil’s faith in him.

Are you excited to see how Ancelotti reshapes the Brazilian team?
